Reading proficiency is a struggle for some children in the upper elementary grade levels. Therefore, the struggle creates a lack of academic success for middle and high school students. There is a critical need to focus on pre-kindergarten-third grades to cease the struggle and build strong proficient readers.  Elementary success promotes middle and high school success. 

Hazel’s Corner – Children’s Bookstore will provide children with the opportunity to read rich print and engaging literature. Interaction with such literature will enhance vocabulary, fluency level, proficiency level, writing and speaking skills.

Hazel’s Corner – Children’s Bookstore is a unique children’s bookstore located in the city of Turtle Creek, PA. It consists of rich literature of diverse authors to promote avid readers, writers, thinkers, and speakers. At Hazel’s Corner children will explore the JOYS of READING by engaging in reading divergent genres, book discussions, and taking a glance at different styles of writing.
